YMBL Alumni Membership

Are you a YMBL alumni who is at least 45 years of age and still passionate about supporting YMBL’s outstanding programs? If so consider this: Over the years there have been countless hours donated by hundreds of YMBL members to create, fund, and assist with the oversight of the Austin Sunshine Camps. Without the effort of all of these members, the Austin Sunshine Camps would not exist and would never have reached today’s level of success.
 

As many of you are aware, the Austin YMBL has launched a Capital Campaign to fund construction of a new facility by 2013, which will allow us to accommodate 50% more children. As we lay the groundwork for this growth, we have created a new Alumni YMBL membership to provide more opportunities for past members to get together, catch up, and revive old friendships and memories. Moreover, the alumni membership will allow people to stay connected to the Austin Sunshine Camps and follow our progress as we strengthen the legacy established by past generations of YMBL members. 
 

For the Sunshine Camps, Alumni Membership is particularly special as it defines us; it embodies our institutional memory, and represents the heart and soul of who we are. For this reason we have designated the Austin YMBL Sunshine Foundation as the recipient of Alumni Membership dues. Created in 1993 by YMBL alumni, the Sunshine Foundation supports the camps through scholarships, an endowment, and a facilities fund. As an Alumni Member, you will receive:

To qualify for Alumni Membership you must have been active in the YMBL for at least four (4) years, and at least 45 years of age. The annual dues of $100 exempt Alumni Members from our annual fundraising campaign and there are no mandatory participation requirements on the YMBL Board of Directors or any other committees. Of course in the spirit of tradition and keeping our legacy alive, we always welcome Alumni Members at our happy hour events, lunches, and special events.
