The company was formed with a product and idea intended to assist distressed homeowners identify alternatives to foreclosure. Now, only a few years later and with almost 1,500% growth year over year we offer a variety of products to help individuals improve their businesses as well as their lives.
I joined Charfen Institute as a Financial Analyst in 2011. I remain impressed with the firm’s core values of Stability, Integrity, Dream Big, Expression and Service. I have never seen an organization more committed to its employees or its clients. As a native Austinite, I also appreciate Charfen Institute's commitment to the Austin community.
I attended the University of Texas at Austin, where I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration in 2005 and Master of Professional Accounting in 2006. After earning my Bachelor’s I began working as an Internal Auditor for Cirrus Logic, Inc. in Austin. I continued working with Cirrus when I began work towards my Master’s degree. After earning my Master’s in 2006 I left the field of audit and began working as a Tax Consultant for the Austin office of Deloitte Tax, LLP and later Maxwell Locke & Ritter. In public accounting I was able to work with an array of entity types and organizations. Experience in both the fields of audit and tax give me a unique perspective into organizational reporting and operations. My experience has provided me with a great skillset to be successful at Charfen Institute.
