YMBL Benefits

With more than 200 active members and a growing alumni base, the YMBL facilitates the most established network of young businessmen in Austin. YMBL provides a platform for members to connect through a variety of social and service opportunities, cultivating life-long personal and professional relationships. In addition to hosting events such as the Austin Under 40 Awards (in partnership with the Young Women’s Alliance) and the Sunshine Run, the YMBL also hosts an Annual Golf Classic, Spring and Fall Flings and offers various activity groups for members to connect around the hobbies they enjoy.

Through our monthly Speaker Series, the YMBL continues to build better businessmen and active community leaders. Monthly lunches and dinners have featured speakers ranging from elected officials to corporate executives, entrepreneurs to community activists and beyond.

Members of the YMBL use professional skills, fundraising abilities, and volunteer time to further the mission of the Austin Sunshine Camps (ASC) in addition to overseeing its operation.

Founded in 1928, the Austin Sunshine Camps provide enrichment opportunities for more than 1,000 low-income youth from Austin and surrounding areas every summer and many more through year-round leadership and mentoring programs. The mission of the ASC is to create a better future and stronger community through mentoring, education and personal development of our low-income youth.

Since the inception of the Austin Sunshine Camps in 1928, the YMBL has provided valuable development programs and memorable summer camp experiences for more than 47,000 children. The Young Men’s Business League’s major philanthropic endeavor in time and money is the Austin Sunshine Camps.
