Over the years there have been countless hours donated by countless YMBL members to create, fund, and run the Austin Sunshine Camps. Without the efforts of all of those members, the Austin Sunshine Camps would have never been possible and would never have reached the level of success that they have today.
We have created an Alumni YMBL membership as part of our efforts to provide more opportunities for past members to get together, catch up, and relive old friendships and memories.
If you become an Alumni member, you will receive:
- The YMBL Alumni newsletter, which will provide updates of the YMBL, and upcoming events. This will include the Sunshine Camp newsletter, which will provide you with all the latest on the camps.
- Invites to our alumni only events. This includes YMBL alumni happy hours, camper pickup, and many others opportunities.
- Invite to our annual YMBL alumni party the Sunshine Safari at the TDS exotic game ranch.
Do you qualify?
Below is a brief description of the qualifications and terms of YMBL Alumni membership.
- Alumni members are required to pay one half of the membership dues of active YMBL members. Currently the alumni membership dues are $100 a year.
- While always welcome, alumni members are not required to attend happy hour events, lunches, raise additional funds for the camps, or special events. Attendance will be on a volunteer basis.
- Alumni members are not required to be active on the YMBL board of directors or any other committee.
To qualify for Alumni membership you must have:
- Been active in the YMBL for at least four (4) years, and
- Attained the age of 40.
